A veteran sets out to investigate Portugal's 35 yearlong silence over its colonial war (1961-74). Equipped with archive footage shot during his commission, he meets with fellow veterans and together they embark on a journey through long unspoken memories. Soon questions emerge: how much did the war really change them? Why did they shut down their memories until now? And how did this affect their lives and their families'?
